Growing up in Peru, Melissa formed a deep-rooted passion for the ocean and surfing – chasing waves on a near-daily basis. Although seeking waves has proven to be a bit more challenging in Canada, Melissa has found her bliss by hiking the beautiful landscape any chance she gets. A true explorer at heart, she’s ventured to 15 countries, immersing herself in the diverse cultures of each place she’s visited. Along with her super surf-girl skills and imminent wanderlust, Melissa holds another captivating secret —she’s a retired member of the Peruvian national gymnastics team!
